Where routes start, end and pick up
By default every vehicle leaves the depot, delivers what it loaded there, and comes back. These options change that shape.
One depot
Enter the depot address (or its latitude and longitude) in the plan form. All vehicles start and end there, and every order is loaded there.
Start and end address per vehicle, several depots
In a vehicles file, Start address and End address give each vehicle its own start and end: technicians who start from home, or vans based at different warehouses. When all vehicles share one start address it becomes the depot; when they differ, it is a multi-depot plan and the depot field can be left empty. The engine decides which vehicle, so which depot, serves each order.
Open routes
Routes end at the last stop (no return) removes the drive back: for drivers who take the vehicle home, or one-way runs. A vehicle with End address none (also: no return, open, last stop) ends at its last stop even when the option is off; a vehicle with its own end address still goes there.
Pickup and delivery (shipments)
Add a Pickup address to an order and it becomes a shipment: the same vehicle collects it there first, then delivers it to the order's Address. Pickup from, Pickup until and Pickup duration (min) set the pickup window and time. Use it for courier work, returns, transfers between stores, or collecting from suppliers. Orders without a pickup are loaded at the start as usual, and both kinds mix in one plan.
Loads are tracked along the route: a vehicle can pick up, deliver, and pick up again as long as it never carries more than its capacity at any moment.
