An Excel route optimizer for the spreadsheet you already use

Many small fleets plan in Excel because it is flexible and familiar. The problem is that Excel cannot optimize routes. AIRO keeps your spreadsheet as the starting point and adds the missing optimization and validation.

Why Excel stops working for route planning

  • Sorting by postal code or driver creates routes, but not efficient ones.
  • Capacity and time-window checks are manual and easy to get wrong.
  • Comparing two plans means duplicating the workbook.
  • Driver sheets are copied and pasted by hand every morning.

Keep your spreadsheet, add the engine

Upload your .xlsx or .csv file as it is. Column mapping matches your headers (for example “Customer address” or “Qty”) to the fields the optimizer needs, so you do not have to rebuild your template.

What the file can contain

  • Delivery or job address
  • Demand or load per stop
  • Service time
  • Earliest and latest arrival
  • Vehicle capacity and start location

What happens to bad rows

Incomplete addresses, duplicates, impossible time windows and over-capacity orders are flagged with specific messages so you can fix or exclude them before routing.

From optimized routes back to Excel

Results export as Excel or CSV with one sheet or file per vehicle, ready to print or send to drivers. You can also compare the optimized plan with your original one and see distance and duration differences.

Frequently asked questions

Can I optimize routes from an Excel file?

Yes. AIRO is built around the spreadsheet you already use. Upload an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file with your orders and vehicles, map your columns, fix any validation issues, and run the optimization. You do not need to reformat your file into a rigid template.

How is AIRO priced?

Pricing is based on operational usage (orders optimized, vehicles planned and scenarios executed) with included monthly allowances per plan. It is never based on AI tokens. Pricing is coming soon; join the waitlist to be notified when billing goes live.

What happens if an address cannot be geocoded?

Addresses are checked before optimization. If one cannot be located, it is flagged with a specific message (for example, a missing postal code or an ambiguous street), and you can correct it, replace it, or exclude the row. Nothing is optimized with an unresolved address unless you choose to exclude it.

Can I export routes for drivers?

Yes. You can export Excel or CSV files with one sheet or file per vehicle, including stop order, addresses, planned arrival times and optional map links and driver instructions.
